PRESS RELEASE
REGIONAL TOUR SHOCK!!
The Gin Club and Andrew Morris Salute Aussie Cricket Team, “Gentleman’s Game”

ON SIDE
Two of Australia’s finest purveyors of caught-behind country and four-run folk are hitting the road together for the first time in a string of shows they have labeled “The Gentleman’s Game’.

THROUGH THE GATE
That’s right, after Australia’s emotional 5 – 0 thumping of the English side in this summer’s Ashes series, The Club and Moz felt they should pad up and do their bit to honour not only the Australian side but indeed the game of cricket itself.  To this effect they will be hopping into the van for a lovely straight drive from Brisbane to Hobart, stopping to play a few tunes – and bowl a few overs - at various spots along the way.

THE GIN CLUB: BOWLED OVER
2006 saw the Gin Club clean bowling audiences at home and abroad on the back of sophomore release “Fear of the Sea” and hit single “Drugflowers”, which garnered them heavy rotation on national youth broadcaster TripleJ.  The Club took their fine stroke play across the seas to Canada, as well as visiting Western Australia, New South Wales and Victoria for some limited overs cricket against teams as diverse as The Drones, Soundtrack of our Lives, Youth Group, Bluebottle Kiss, The Casanovas, Holly Throsby and The Kill Devil Hills.  Now they are hitting the road one more time before they leave the crease to record their third album, due for release in late 2007.

ANDREW MORRIS: DANCING DOWN THE PITCH
Andrew Morris has been busy of late delivering his latest album 'Valleys' to audiences across the country.  After taking his quick single 'Let It Roll' to radio, it has been smashed to the boundary on Triple J and Nova.  Morris has shared crucial partnerships with fellow countrymen Jen Cloher, Clare Bowditch, Bob Evans and Mia Dyson, and scored a 100 on debut at last year's Splendour In The Grass festival.  'Valleys' hit the critics for 6 as it gained warm reviews all around the country.  Morris and his live band The Dry Bones are in great touch, and are keen to show their form on tour this March.

A MATCH WINNING PARTNERSHIP
So come and watch as the Gin Club and Andrew Morris hit them all over the park this summer!

Tour dates are available on the 'Disembarkations' page, and tickets can be bought at the usual outlets.
